About SportRC

Hi, I'm  Ken Kalynuk.  I created SportRC.com in 2000, to share what I learned and to help you with your R/C projects.

My first R/C flight was on April 30, 1978. On that day, my r/c trainer plane folded it's wings on the third flight, that was abrupt learning experience and I've been on the r/c learning curve since then

I currently work full time for the Province of Manitoba as an engineering technologist (CET). I do my r/c work in the evenings, weekends, and my days off.  I am a member of the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada.

I am also an EAA member and have attended the annual EAA Airventure convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin from 2000 to 2005. At AirVenture, I attended seminars and workshops on aircraft construction, piloting, and aircraft materials.

My current r/c focus in on WWII fighters and on r/c training. I also use the GP Extra 300S (Patty version) to keep my r/c flying skills sharp. I've built and flown many gas, glow, and electric powered models. The models below represent what I fly now  on a regular basis.
